Does any one know of an affordable rehab?

I should have just gone to a rehab facility a year ago when I realized I was an alcoholic. I had no clue how dangerous it was going to be getting sober. I was physically ill and litteraly went insane, and ended up with 3 arrests while intoxicated. It didn't make any sense to me how getting off of alcohol I ended up becoming so mentally unstable that I would go out and drink and end up getting into trouble. I had never even had a speeding ticket before this time. So I've decided that should I ever relapse I'll just go to a rehab facility. So if anyone knows of any in patient rehab faclities let me know.

I'm a bit confused. Are you sober now and going to AA meetings? Also don't understand, are you making plans to relapse? Welcome to the boards.

Call the Salvation Army and the other not-for-profits in your area and find out what they offer.  They are always willing to help someone who wants it.   You gotta want it, you gotta admit you are completely powerless with out HP and HP's helpers.  Keep coming back smile

Welcome to the board Allen, ... ... ...

Do you currently have 'health insurance'??? ... most health insurance policies have provisions for alcohol and drug rehab ... but they like you to call ahead and/or be referred to a facility by a doctor ... then as Jerry mentioned, there may be some 'non-profit' facilities available in your area, where-ever that is ...
