Someone said something that was the simplest thing but it could really be a life saver for some people.  Sometimes the simplest things can bring someone from a very bad place into the light very quickly:

Sometimes we dont know it, but there really is a good world out there.  sometimes there are people who truly care about us and love us even if we cant see it, WE ARE LOVED.  Sometimes even though our families or small circles of people are treating us terrible and we feel the world is an awful sick place, we seem to forget that just because theres sick things out there, it doesnt mean that everything is like that!  There is plenty of good people in the world, and even though a few rotten apples are treating us like garbage it doesnt mean we arent loved and that the world is a bad place.  When we forget this were in kind of a dangerous place, especially if were drinking.  But if you can ever see it, it really is a good world with lots of good people who truly care about you, and so does god.  Its something worth thinking about if your going through a really hard time.  Theres some rotten lowlives out there, and theres some ugly stuff going on.  but it doesnt mean that its an awful world.  And the biggest thing of all, it doesnt mean that your a awful person, YOU ARE A GOOD PERSON, WHO IS A COOL PERSON AND YOU CAN LOVE YOURSELF WHICH IS THE BIGGEST THING.

sometimes all someone needs who is suffering is a friendly minute long talk with the right thing said to them

something worth thinking about.

Closer.

After years of isolating, I learned how to engage with people again in a healthy way thanks to time in the rooms. I am forever grateful to AA for bringing more than a few awesome, vibrant, trustworthy friends into my life. :)

Thanks for sharing that. Excellent. I am discovering that balance is life is important so that I end up with too many expectations of one or a few groups of people.
