I was reading a story in a local newspaper that was talking about a group of people who were making a 50 mile trek through the Olympic National Park. One of the women hiking had lost two sons, one to cancer at age 9, and one to heart problems at age 19. Her friend gave her a bag of rocks to take along. As she was hiking, she was going to lay the rocks along the way, each one signifying a burden that she was letting go of and leaving behind. I think this is such a great idea. The story said it originates from pilgrims in Spain, who do the same along the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, or Way of St. James. I don't know who St. James was, or even if the story of where it originates from is true, but I love the idea. I am going to carry a bag of rocks with me when I go on my walks, and leave them and my burdens along the way. I feel lighter already Thought some folks her might like the idea too. Peace

This reminds me of working the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th steps ... ... ...
My sponsor had me to make my list, identify my faults and write everything down ... and when I got to the 7th step, then talk to God(Papa) about them (Prayer) and then set the paper with my list, on fire ... he said it was all given to God and that I need not carry them around with me any longer ... ... ... ... ... WOW, what a weight I felt lift from my shoulders by doing that ...
Thanks 'nezyb', ... ... ... this seems like a similar method to accomplish the same results ... actually, it's more of a physical connection to the spiritual, I like it ... great share ...
God Bless, Pappy
