Grateful today

So wonderful to have this message board to come to when I can't make it to meetings.  It's been a crazy busy week for me.  So grateful for sobriety and life in general.  Starting to wonder what I ever saw in that love affair with alcohol.  How I ever got so trapped!  How it could call for me, and I would come running, even when I didn't want to anymore.

My spiritual fitness was in check for this "lapse of work" this week, but boy it only takes a week to undo 3 months of "stocking up" for me.

Kind of like my suntan.

I pray you all keep your tanks above the "E" mark, and filled up full - I would miss you if you were gone.

Thanks for the work you're doing... and for being here.

You have a 'what' dear? A suntan did you say? Wow, not me. I'm whiter than a ghost on Halloween. I'll just leave it at that.

My tank is about three quarters full right now, spiritually I mean. I always leave myself just enough room to grow, if that makes any sense.

It's been busy around here too. My house has been a construction zone for the past month or so, with a few added problems in between. We've been converting our old oil furnace to a brand new gas model, and boy has that been interesting. Contractors are reliable, but only to a certain degree, if never -no offense Dean. I just hope this mess cleans up soon.

I love your take on alcoholism Tasha, I really do. I always wondered myself what the connection was really about. I guess we lose ourselves sometimes in the midst of everything life has to offer, but not for today. There's no hope on dying anymore, but in living there's always a bridge to somewhere. I just hope it remains that way, for today. Thanks again Tasha, your insight is always appreciated.

P.S. So I'm a cheat, huh? Just kidding...I guess my goggling skills are better than others. LoL

I laugh when I see the very rare Tanning business, here in south FL. I'm spending a lot of time avoiding the sun and parking in the shade lol. Grateful when I find it. And more grateful for my trips to the mountains in the summer. smile

This is Wisconsin - I soak up all the sun I can get during our 3 month reprieve from primarily living in doors!
