Today while I was shopping in a shopping centre, with 2 of my children, a fight broke out between a man and a woman.  We were standing in a bakery, when the yelling and cursing started.  My God, I've never heard anything like it before in public.  They just didn't seem to care.  The shop assistant and other customers were really good.  They hid us behind the drink fridges to keep my children away.  I was a real mess.  My body was shaking and I felt myself go vroom out of the top of my head.  It was just like the home I grew up in.

Thank goodness I had a 12 step book with me and I read through the prayers for steps 1,2,3 and 7.  This helped me to calm back down again.  The children weren't worried about it at all (aged 4 and 7).  It was just me.

Good use of the tools Tracey.  Gald to see your serenity return.  Yes, many of us grew up in chaos.  Nice to have moved on from that.  No ripples on my pond is just fine- thank you.  wink

I'm glad cooler heads prevailed. I wish you a better tomorrow, Tracey.
