Well Hell, what a week this has been

31st May, after a meeting, check my phone to find a missed call from my 86 yr old Mum. Message was Ring me now, Oh shit thinks I, she's had a fall of summat, no just a panicky call to say that the van I was picking up wasn't available - not much I could do at 9 at night.........only a moderate panic tho'

Still, the next day, by standing my ground, being polite, not allowing myself to be walked over and asking for help, I got the worlds biggest panel van and two pals and started to move to my new home in Scotland. Spent three or four days with these two buddies and believe me, by the end of that time we were ready to kill each other. Still, succesfully moved to the eponymously named River Cottage (it's not a cottage and no where near a river).........

Flew down to Birmingham from Glasgow on Thursday got back to find the washing machine not repaired, that was re scheduled for Friday. Got home with evidence of repair, put a load of washing in and after 30 minutes there was no water in the washer but lot's on the floor........

So I'm running out of clean clothes, can't find a launderette, I'm hitting hte local meetings and struggling with the accents, but all told, still sober, reasonable happy and all the problems are gold plated....

hello dear Bill, it is great to see a post from you.  nothing is life or death but life or death and your washing machine is just trying to give your cottage a river.  big hugs,  jj/sheila

Well Bill, it`s like the Devil has decided to target you to see what it will take to break you!

Don`t give in, don`t even think it, just stick to your guns!

Remember those mornings waking up with no recollection what happened the previous night and the fear it struck into us.

Thas what keeps me motivated!!!

I am never going down that raod again, it will surely kill me!

Regards

Gerrit
