The fact that we are here, gives us a chance for recovery from alcoholism. Many will die without even knowing that there is a fellowship and people who have got well from this disease.
That's my gratitude today, for knowing that God had seen my suffering and made a provision for me. He did not send a hundred angels or even did some instant miracle. Through a series of events, He sent another alcoholic to talk to me. Strange as it may sound to other people, but that man saved my life. He introduced me to people like myself. A fellowship formed and the only requirement was to be ready when God calls me, to talk to another sick man.
God's ways are not our ways. What right has the clay to tell the potter what to make?
WOW Gonee, ... I love your post ... You have managed to make a 'few' words say a 'mountain' lode of information ....
Thank you .... I too, am grateful to have been pulled from the depths of despair, a misery of my own making, to the heights of peace and happiness ... that which includes giving away the secrets to sobriety ... beautiful!!!
God Bless, Pappy
