"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

I have read this statement for many years. I was weary and burdened. Sometimes I felt like life had no real meaning for me. It was only when I entered the doors of AA and read: "We admiited we were powerless over alcohol - that ours lives had become unmanageable.", that I fully comprehended what had happened to me. I found tha AA belonged to God and that He had called me there.

For the first time I found myself among people who could not judge.

For the first time I found myself among people who had found a solution to their problem.

For the first time I found myself among people who wanted to share that solution unconditionally.

I found my solution to my 1step in AA and from AA members. It was to go to God with my problem. In the beginning I leaned on other people who gave me strength and interceded on my behalf.

I pay back by allowing others to lean on me and I intercede on their behalf. It works absolutely.
