It's a fact of life - as gratitude goes up, so do patience and tolerance and we could all use more of the latter.  So, what are you grateful for today?

Yesterday my wife and I celebrated her six month anniversary home after twenty-four years in prison.

What's on your list?

Pretty much everything: breathing, eating, a place to sleep, more than enough work, good health, people to love and be loved by. Oh, and sobriety.

Ditto - Dean, I've been living with gratitude on my mind naturally for a few days now. I'm not trying to force it, and it's wonderful.

Hey angel , ... good topic, always ... ... ... I have in my routine to start each day in gratitude for a new day, rains if we got them recently, for the basics of food, shelter, and clothing, my health, etc. to Papa(God) ... I find it true like you said, I do seem to have more patience and tolerance as I express my gratitude daily ... and one other thing, I just recently stopped smoking cigarettes so in my morning prayer I most certainly give thanks for not only a 'sober yesterday' but now for a 'smoke free' yesterday as well ...

God Bless,
Pappy

It's a Saturday night & my neighbors are old, so they aren't making much noise. My mother and I live close, and we have a wonderful relationship. I love this site, that I can look at other people, and you guys respond to my posts too. My job, that it is close... Even if I need more hours. For your openness, that you guys must really love eachother and that gives me hope that love does exist, and everyone is deserving of love

Better Health, Clarity, Better understanding of my life, Seeing the promises amount.  Im grateful that Ive got a home I can enjoy, that Im not wasting all my money on alcohol and cigarettes...

Im grateful that whatever hard time Im going through my HP is guiding me home and helping me find the place Im supposed to be...

Grateful for a better understanding of my life and knowing what I want to do without having struggles of drunkenness...
