When you feel like quitting:
think about why you started.

The truth may hurt a little while but a lie hurts forever.

If you know yourself, then you'll not be harmed by what is said about you.

Courage does not always roar.
Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying "I will try again tomorrow."

Be a butterfly spread your wings, and whatever life brings, be true to you ~ be "YOU"nique!
Let the lord guide you to the beauty inside you, and you'll find the Joy that you seek.

I forgive myself for not being perfect.
I recognize we're all not perfect.
I am open to forgiving others.
I value persistence, insights and growth
far more than perfection.

Love. Focus your thoughts. Embrace your journey. Stop. Breathe. Quiet your mind and define your intention.

(Just some of my favorite quotes for you Kendra)

Hey Kendra, I love what Tasha said, ... ... ... Read her post again ... ... ...

Plus ... You are going through a LOT of changes right now and as I mentioned before, with all your body chemicals 'out-of-whack' you may should be under a doctor's care ... at least until you get stable ... AND with all this change going on, you CANNOT rush getting the 'peace and serenity' that you see some of the others have at the meetings ...

I believe when we all 1st come thru the doors of AA, we wanted what the others have, and we wanted it now ... Fact is, we have to be patient and work for what the promises tell us we will get ...

Sorry, but there IS NO quick fix ... and there's nothing so bad in life right now that a drug or a drink wouldn't make a lot worse ...

Love Ya and God Bless,
Pappy

That's great to hear Kendra. There's no easy fix either, so keep your doctor informed of those issues and never stop believing in yourself or sobriety. Remember, no one can make you feel inferior unless you allow them too, so don't. Keep that momentum going dear, okay.

You could start by dumping the asshole who said that to you. That might make you feel a little better. Oh and now that he's clearly told you what kind of person he is if you decide to stay with him don't whine about how he tests you.
