I'm glad you enjoyed yourself Tasha, which to me signifies change. You could have dear, but chose not too instead. And to me, that's progress no matter how you define it. Enjoy what's left of the day, okay.

Home alone tonight.  First time in 6 yrs.  Could have drank all day, no one would have known.  I spent the day visiting friends and family, did a little work, spent time with the animals.  Talked to my sponsor on the phone for a couple hours, went to a meeting, read lots here.

I don't want to get drunk today.

My husband trusted me to not get drunk today... pretty cool.

I miss my kids, they wondered why I didn't go camping with them.

Still hiding... but I'm not drunk.

One thing at a time. If your here tonight, it's for a reason. And I'm delighted that the title didn't mean what I thought it did :D

WELL ... ... ... we all COULD be drunk .... But we're not ... well, at least I'm not :P

I won't question as to why you're not camping with your family tonight Tasha, but I am pleased to hear you are still in a cognitive state ... (i really wanted to use that word, thanks)

You said you were still hiding ... can you elaborate ??? (oh thank you, I really wanted to use that big word too) ... from what or whom are you hiding ??? ... Do you have a problem with bugs? (you know, camping) ... OR ... did you just WANT to isolate, and why ? ...

Damn, ... I guess I did end up questioning you about why you're alone by choice ...

Okay, delirium is something my 'heart meds' give this time of day ... so ... add to that old age and 'brain farts', and I may not make any sense, even to myself ...

Pappy

Sometimes I just keep the story going, and don't take the time to elaborate too much. I know I'm going to look back and read it some day, and I will remember what was going on here... Sorry to those of you who it doesn't make sense to... I'm still a selfish alcoholic.  This post was more for me.

Grateful that your doing all the right things to stay sober. Called sponsor, went to a meeting, did some reading, reached out here. We are especially at risk of relapse, in early sobriety, when we are alone and no one is watching. Just as you created this thread, the thought surely crossed your mind. "When an alcoholic is alone he/she is in bad company". Be careful about planned isolation, and sounds like you were, you had plans using the tools that you have learned. good job.

Hey Dean, ... LOL ... actually I think I posted four times .... in the , uh, ... 'Hiding out or pissed' thread ... Hey, she brought it up again ... LOL ...

Okay, I warned everybody that my new meds do funny things to me especially late at night ... like I start acting like a four year old again ... Nan na nan na nana ... :P

You know what they say? ... if you can't beat'em, ... join 'em .... (sober dudes that is) ...

OH, thanks for the "I am Slow" icon at the end ... Mr. Smarty pants

Love Ya,  Pappy
