Our Monday night group started about 8 years ago and nobody is sure about the exact date it started. The members who started it are no more. The group has no name. It's not defined as an AA group. We use it rent free. Newcomers come in work the steps, get better and after a while they move on. I am the only one left from the original 12 people who started it. We are currently running an AOCA program and everybody is excited about it. It's not my home group and it's one of the least organised groups, but year after year it continues to exist. The current group conscience keeps asking me back to co-ordinate the meetings.smilesmile

A miracle all by itself.

Goes to show, as long as people choose to recover, hp will hold the doors open for us. :)

Ha! ... LOL ... An Anonymous AA group ... Go figure ...

Group conscience guys must be doing something right ... Let the 'spirit' guide your efforts and all will be well ... Sounds like the group regards your presence highly Gonee ... Good job ... 'Keep on keeping on ... '

God Bless You and the 'Monday Night Group',
Pappy

Like it Gonee! As you title for the thread suggest, sounds very much like the original Akron AA! :)
