I also wanted to mention that I've been praying like a sonofabitch too. And out of nowhere this person popped up and asked to help go through the big book with me. I felt like I was drowning and all of a sudden there someone was throwing me a life-preserver. I hope that someday I can be well enough to make another person feel that way.

I am in with a fighting chance if like you if I stay away from that first drink.

I thought I was loosing everything ! And in the end I gained so much more, a serenity that is priceless.

Ah - now I see how it becomes so much more fun, when you get to watch other people "grab it and go". Oh la lah, you've made my day. I am an opera singer. I am belting out some "Free at last" up here! (With my nice thick Wisconsin accent LOL)

A piano student walked into the house and forgot to take off her shoes...

Ahhhh, hunny, that's okay... nobody's perfect, the teacher says to her.

Later in the lesson, she confesses that she hasn't practiced her song.

Practice makes perfect hun... says the teacher.

If practice makes perfect, and nobody's perfect... why practice???? She say's.

Good point Natasha, says the teacher, let's just have fun!



Ode to the kind little lady who taught me what being 9 was all about, and how to be a kind piano teacher myself today.
