Been in the program for many years before 15 sobriety years.  Fell off a few years ago, but have made a decision to stop drinking today.  Please anyone, say a prayer for me as i know in the beginning its hard and I'm not feeling too good this morning!

Welcome back, and keep coming back too. :} Praying that you find a meeting ASP and new found friends to help you.

A.A. Thought for the Day
The A.A. program is one of faith, hope, and charity. It's a program of
hope because when new members come into A.A., the first thing they get is
hope. They hear older members tell how they had been through the same kind of
hell that they have and how they found the way out through A.A. And this
gives them hope that if others can do it, they can do it.

Please keep posting too.

God, I would hate myself if I started drinking again.  Twenty-seven years and...WTF?  If I did, I hope I would have someone to "talk me down" from my need for perfection in my sobriety and my mistaken belief that it is a destination and not...a trip.

Higher Power, please help me see that sobriety is a trip and that learning to value myself is part of that trip.  From that stool, "learning to value myself", is where I sometimes...well...fall off.  Please help me to see that I am worth your love and worth other's love and worth staying sober, one-day-at-a-time.  Amen.
