To my favorite girl, Miss blue.

One of my earliest recollections of sobriety came from the most heavenly of sources, my friend Miss Blue. There was just something about her, maybe it was her delicate nature or something like that, but something was different for sure. She had this smile that stretched from ear to ear, and a disposition that was so delicate and inviting. She glowed like a ray of sunshine even when life did not, which made sobriety that much easier. I still remember her warm embrace like it was yesterday, as she welcomed me into the rooms for the very first time. She said, "Are you one of us dear"? I replied "yes I am" and then she gave me the biggest hug one could ever imagine. Okay now, she said, "come with me and I'll show you around". That was over ten years ago, funny as it might seem, but it only took that one night to convince me of her angelic qualities. Life, as I know it, has never been the same since, thank God. And after today it lacks someone special as well. My friend, Miss Blue, has passed and the void she leaves behind may take awhile to fill, but her legacy lives on. So when you sleep tonight say a prayer not only for my friend Miss Blue, but for others who haven't found the rooms just yet. That's what she would have wanted ultimately, this I do know. My friend may be gone, but is not forgotten. So have a wonderful trip dear and God bless you Miss Blue, now and forever.

Your friend,

Mr. David

Thank you Mr David. Miss Blue sounds like she was a wonderful lady. God bless her and I will pray for the still suffering both inside and outside of the rooms tonight, and again as always for my brother.
