Call a someone in AA.

Does she want help planting some flowers?

Maybe she would like to go out for tea.

We could read the big book together and talk about it.

Maybe just go for a walk together.

Does she need help cleaning out a closet?

Or organizing the attic?

That's my plan of action today.  What's yours?

Go to the gym. See clients, come home, have dinner with my partner, watch movie. Rinse. Repeat. I love my life now though. I turn 40 in exactly 2 months. I am hitting the gym daily cuz I am going to show that 40 looks damn good!!

4 years ago I was a lethargic self destructive smoky pickled whiny blob lol. Lots changes when you take positive steps day by day.

Pray.

Practice being joyous, happy and free.

Meditate on the day.

Sleep.

Repeat tomorrow. :)

That's twice now Mark, where I've laughed out loud so hard at something that you've written... my big ol' echoey farm house just booming with laughter thanks to you.
You know how eerily silly it sometimes feels to laugh out loud in an empty house? That's twice now! The other one was the comb over and people honking post, and I stole that too by the way ; ) It's in my 4th step... just to keep it not so... um... fourth steppy. Puts a smile on my face every time I go over it.

7AM I was at a friends house helping him move some stupid ungodly heavy piece of exercise equipment out of his living room and moving in an even larger one in, some treadmill thing with a computer and a screen that has routes "mapped" out, say Acapulco or SF where you choose a route and as you run when it gets to "hills" it tilts up and gets harder, thing weighed 100's of lbs, it was insane and I was in flip flops, I am not sure I didn't use some strong language when I dropped it on my toes, by 9AM I was at my neighbors house "snaking" out their pipes since they had me over for dinner last night and mentioned they just spent a ton of money on a plumber and now their kitchen sink and washing machine was not draining, mowed my lawn and pruned my trees afterwards and "accidentally" mowed my neighbors lawn to the side as well since I had the mower out and he edges my lawn once a month

Did a small job made a few bucks, then....

Spent the rest of the day working in my yard and making my plants happy...

Life is good

I do a lot better when I talk about what I did as opposed to "what I am going to do" because nothing makes my God laugh louder then when I tell him my plans...and truthfully I get hijacked by naps frequently

@Mark: I've lost 30 lbs in the last 6 months or so, and I wasn't even that fat lol, I was getting plenty of exercise (climbing trees, super intense exercise) and still gaining weight, I gave up white powders (flour and sugar) and lost so much weight so fast my ex asked me if I had cancer, and yesterday in the gas station a guy I hadn't seen in six months said "I thought you looked familiar, but...umm...you lost some weight...like a LOT of weight...." when I said Hi to him

Tashia,

Great stuff. I am blessed with so many great friends, I have a long commute so I spend a lot of time on the phone with other AA's.

You gave me a great idea though, think I am going to call some of the younger in the guys  program to help me do some yard work this weekend  smile

What I do lately: (if anyone cares)smile

1. Remain Sober for 24 hrs.

2. Do something that benefits health (Take walk, eat something smart)

3. Say serenity prayer and spend time relaxing.

4. Work on letting go of all past hurts, regrets, sadnesses etc.

5. Meditate to improve my concious contact with my higher power.
