I just love animal stories. Most people know I work in a recovery house. I got a brochure today for recovery oriented DVDs from some place in Texas. Earnie Larsen, John Bradshaw, the kind of stuff they swear we watched in 28-day programs but none of us can remember seeing. Anyway, there was one movie - the Elephant in the Living Room. I can't remember seeing it but I heard it was good. Something about there being an alcoholic in the family but nobody wants to talk about it. Denial. I thought that would be a good one to order. Then I checked the price. They wanted $300 dollars for it. I don't know, maybe it was a solid gold DVD. You can download it off the net for free in about 20 minutes. Of course I wouldn't dream of doing that or suggesting anyone else do that because that would be illegal and its a honest program, right. Yeah, right.

That's an expensive elephant that nobody wants to talk about! Keep the movie to yourself. I like the stories I've heard about the elephant. The elephant's in the room, everyone can smell peanuts and hay, yet nobody wants to talk about the elephant? I was once that elephant. Grateful today I've been downsized by the Grace of God.
