Every member that I have sponsored has given me a little bit of my own life back. I have 3 of my sponsees celebrate their birthdays this week, 7, 5 & 19 years. This has been my greatest joy. It's made me rich spiritually.
Your stories give me hope and faith in this program. Hopefully some day I can be a great sponsor. I have had 3 not so great ones now - and I was feeling sorry for myself, but actually I'm learning a lot from them about sponsorship, so I feel really grateful somehow!

Tasha. My last sponsor shuns me in our small meetings, all have noticed too but I learn from her all the time. If I was a newcomer I could well have gone back out, but I have strong sobriety, today I work at this. I did my steps 4-5 with her and she taught me how to let go and love myself and not to hold onto resentments its hard at times but i do what I do because I love being sober and she makes me stronger :} I do not harp on about it in the meetings because like me she knows right from wrong.
I share my experienace stenght and hope and will be forever full of gratitude :} As the song goes never give up on a ''good thing''
I keep coming back because its my number on priority and I like it that way.
