I love stories. i like hearing them and I like sharing them.
I was watching national geographic one day. It was about this rare breed of monkey highly prized for its pelt. But he was a clever monkey and always managed to evade the hunters. But one hunter who was very clever himself came up with an idea on how to catch the monkey.
The monkey loved peanuts. So the hunter took a coconut gourd, carved a hole in it just big enough for the monkey to fits it paw, put some peanuts in the gourd, tied the gourd to a net, sat in the underbrush and waited.
Soon just before sundown the monkey came. He smelled the peanuts, put his paw in the gourd and grabbed the peanuts. But now his paw was a clenched fist and the poor monkey couldnt get his paw out of the gourd. He heard the hunters coming out of the brush with their spears and machetes and knew he was going to die.
In fact all he had to do to save his life was let go of the damn peanuts.
I never found out what happened because I had to go to a meeting and let go of some of my own peanuts.
ps. - no animals were harmed during the telling of this story.
