would like to share a good tip on meditation

Last night at my home group, one of the women who has more time than me shared how the big book suggests we open up to our HP upon awakening and later at the end of our day.  she mentioned she had a lot of fear in her life and she is able to worry herself out of peace and serenity if her mind wanders during her meditation.  what worked for her when she finds he mind drifting to problems is concentrating on the word "trust."  that is her keyword for centering her mind and seeking a conscious contact with God.  it really helped me and this morning it worked for me.    jj/sheila

Meditation seems to me to be both calming and energizing. Calming as I quiet down and let the simple essence of being flow in my brain and body-and energizing as I emerge with a deeper degree of restfulness, ability to focus in a healthy way, and with fewer kinks and aches as I move through the day. In the evening, after my inventory, meditation enables me to wrap it up, go to bed, and sleep better than when I skip it. I don't do it for long-not disciplined enough I guess, but am happy that i do it at all--took a long time to be come willing to give it a try, and much harder, to stick with it long enough to embed it in my routine.

Thank you Lee!  Sobriety is a path and i am so glad this path has MIP on it.  You are sober since 1983, that makes you a very creditable sharer, thank you.  Small keywords such as "Trust"  "God is"  "thankfulness"  helps me all day long.   jj/sheila
