Miracles in recovery, day at a time.

Sitting in a BestWestern Hotel ,having  a Belgian waffle and thanking my Higher Power, whom I call God for all the blesssings in my life.(there were years where I was just lookin thru the window)Spent Saturday doing my last coffee commitment for my Saturday homegroup,MEN DO RECOVER putting on a Speaker Jam.12 topics,12 speakers from all over the Tri State Area, hundreds of people in all stages of addiction, recovery and curiosity, and a tremendous message of hope and a promise of freedom as WE Reach out To our  1st Step(admission, acceptance, surrender)and begin to "show up for the healing to begin.Saw many faces havent seen in awhile and spent the day in wonderful fellowship.Yesterday, truly by Gods grace celebrated my 64th birthday. My wife and I are away for the weekend enjoying and sharing time with each other as we have been inundated with last minute details for our move to Florida on May 1st. Time to hold hands and catch our breathes for a minute....My daughter, son in law and beautiful little package from God, Jaelyn Amyiah (1st birthday in april 2oth)moving in with us for last month while were here, on Friday. It will be adventurous to say the least. They are also moving down to Pompano Beach, stepping out on faith and Gods plan.I have decided to go out early on Social Security and ease the burden of wondering where any income will be forthcoming.(truly blessed)  Time to chill somewhat, join a band, work part time serve the fellowship ,maybe even in a more stepped up manner and enjoy the gift of "LIFE" so graciously given to me. The VA got my CAT SCAN back and told me I have been sick for last 3 1/2 months cause my sinuses are infected and want me to have surgery,now..I am praying about it and will probably reevaluate when we get to Florida. Just wanted to check in and say hey as been reading but not posting much.If you are new here, just coming around or just coming back,WELCOME.there truly is another way to live, one better than you have ever known, our program does work ,a day at a time ,with an honest openminded and willing spirit.Of course it does begin with the 1st Step as I stated, putting the substance down and getting to work.WE are here for each other,no big I's or little U's ,just one reaching out to another in a loving and caring manner. To all who continue to show up,work your own process in the process of WE,WELCOME,I am blessed to remain teachable and look forward to the ESH  I see here and feel in my heart when you share from your heart.Gotta go get my darlin up ,its 9:00 a.m for goodness sake ,cant sleep all day!!!! :)  (she'll kill me)I am seeking to incorporate again this day as every day my 3rd/11th step meditations, really turning over to care of and seeking that :concious contact" with my God by to the best of my ability being of mximum service to my Higher Power and others..Time to get to work .Have a blessed and productive day.....smilesmile

Amen Mike...Keep the faith and never give up hope. And enjoy life, my friend, wherever God leads you. You certainly deserve it, for sure.

Get well soon Mikef and welcome to FL already. Spent lots of time in Pompano, wreck diving out of the Hillsboro inlet. Just a mile or so north of the inlet lies the "Hydro Atlantic", one of my favs, 180' to the bottom, 130' to the deck.  I dove 90% of the wrecks on this map.  The one's that I haven't are newer.  It's time for me to get back to Broward Co.
