Make God laugh tell Him all your plans. The delightful property in Kilmarnock has just been withdrawn from the rental market - OK God, OK I get it, don't count yout chickens before they're hatched - I put my hands up, I was projecting more than planning.

 

There'll be a reason for this - like maybe I couldn't really afford to move just yet, maybe it's to stop me rushing, maybe it's to remind me that when I fall in love (as i did with the house) then I don't think straight.

 

Heyho - at least next week I'll be in country and have a day to spend trawling the estate agents.

I'm sorry to hear about the setback Bill -if that's any consolation. Navigating the 'not so friendly' housing market today, while the real estate terrain is still unsteady, isn't easy -especially with the mortgage meltdowns and such. When you factor in all that's happened you're lucky just to survive, let alone a nice house. It doesn't help much with your situation though, and for that I'm truly sorry. I'm just trying to ease the burden somehow, that's all. Maybe it wasn't bad karma after all Bill, who knows? Maybe it's not the right time, that's all. Or maybe your higher power has another plan, who knows?  You're sober today regardless and for that be grateful. Everything else will work out over time; we promise.

Sounds like this wasn't meant to be Bill.  I remember looking at a lot of land I really loved.  The plan was to build a house on it.  I went to the lot every day dreaming of what I could do with it.  I obessed about the lot constantly.  It was a control thing, rooted by fear.

The land went through when the State stepped in and said I didn't have enough visibility in each direction to enter the road.  I was davastated.

I continued to look and found another place about a mile away and I love it.  Still love it today.  I drive by the old lot and smile, it's not what I would've been happy with.  God knew more than I.  smile
