biggrin I got sick and tired of being sick and tired and it took somebody to hurt me deeply saying I would never amount to anything to get myself clean and sober, but I don't forget those days when I was drinking, it was fun at first and it slowly developed into disaster, black outs, jail, promiscious, angry, suicide attempts all the horrors that come with excessive drinking, but at the time I never considered myself an alcoholic, I just had a simple drinking problem, that in time as I look back has destroyed me and my daughter's life, she is now an alcoholic. time to go tornadoe warnings!

Congratulations, those that say time doesn't matter probably don't have any.
It been a few years since my last drink and while I still have the same type of life problems many people have, waking up and not remember what I said or did the previous night isn't one of them and that's a blessing.

Aloha Katiemae...great job and thanks for bringing the success here.  Hope that happens for your daughter also; same home I have for my own relatives.  My eldest son has been clean and sober for years outside of our program and anyway he does it, it gets done.

I am a double...holding membership in both Al-Anon and AA.  I was born and raised into this disease and it affects every corner and aspect of my life so I live the program and am a fultime employee of my HP.  Check out the Al-Anon Family Groups in your town; hot line number is in the white pages of your local telephone book...oooooor jump over to the Al-Anon board here...you're a click away.

Keep coming back!!  ((((hugs)))) smile
