Unfortunately didn't make it to a meeting - I'm in the hospital again. But grateful for 23, and being in generally good health in between kidney stones and complications thereof.
Truly a blessing and thank you soo much for continuing to give back to us what you were so freely given, 23 years a day at a time.....May the God of your understanding keep your journey blessed and guided by Gods grace and mercy!!

Awesome Bari and thanks for bringing much of that time here to MIP to share with us. Your ESH has been very supportive for me.
LB's mention of the slogan "This too will pass" has worked for me also but not for such a painful perspective. Ouch!! Take care of yourself and enjoy the 23rd.
Thanks everybody for the anniversary wishes. I finally got to go home (hopefully for good) on Tuesday, went back to work Thursday and today I had the closest thing I've had to a normal Saturday in 2 months between holidays, weather, vacation, being sick, and then being sick again.
I did get to my home group Thursday to chair the meeting and get my coin.
I had a "routine" kidney stone extraction back on Jan 26, 5 days later I ended up with blood clots in my bladder (i.e. can't pee even if you really really want to). Just a small bleeder but it made a major mess. Let me tell you, kidney stone pain is nothing compared to this.
Anyway after a few tries and some major pain and two hospital stays, I think it's all taken care of. It's all kind of a blur. I'm all the more grateful to be sober... I can't imagine what going through all this would be like if I were still drinking (assuming I wasn't dead 10, 15, 20 years ago).
I'm still only about 65%... get tired easily, probably kind of anemic. I didn't get a transfusion, just some iron pills to take. Pain is mostly gone except for my routine neck/shoulder pain that I usually take aspirin for, and I'm laying low on the aspirin since I did have a bleeding problem...
