My sponsor used to say that if you were ever want to know God, then travel the high seas. A 150000 ton ship which looks so huge in the harbour is like a tiny twig. Containers are like a matchstick in the storm, broken free from the big chains and spun around like a top.
If the depth of vision changes, then the perception changes and if the perception changes then whatever we are thinking changes. God has the largest depth of vision and that's why we need to see everything from His perspective. If we worry about human perceptions about things, then we limit ourselves and therefore worry and fear. However august or pious a man is, his limitations are worldly. That's why this world is such a mess. Therefore let's consider everything from God's view. AA's Step 11 [thro' prayer & meditation] is the wonderful gateway to this spiritual dimension.
