Change of plans...

Well, one day at a time...my plans to go to the city for the AA Gratitude meeting have changed, so I will not be going. I'm okay with not going, not so thrilled about what I'll be doing instead but will grin and have a good time anyway, that's my choice today.I would have loved to spent time with my son and my daughter and family...Thanksgiving is just around the corner, my saving grace.

So here goes...my gratidute list for today

I'm grateful for the lovley rain we had last night, I went out and stood in it, just a slow easy rain, the smell was heavenly, hmmmm. Not the usual TX feedyard ordor.

I'm grateful that I laughted yesterday, you know those deep from the soul laughs, the ones that if you don't watch out you'll have an accident.Or maybe you don't have those.

And last but not least, I'm grateful for AA and this board. It's so awesome to me that there is a place that a mid-aged recovering alcoholic can go, call it home, be surround by so many people and blend in, not stick out like a sore thumb cause everyone there understands you and the isms.

I pray you all have a grateful sober 24.

(((Hugs)))

Sorry about your plans changing...God must have something else in mind for you today. I remeber those Tx rains...I loved that you could stand out in them because they were so warm.

Grateful today that God has chosen to teach me that patience is not automatic...I must work on it daily.

That kids will be selfcentered when I am at my lowest, forcing me to get out of my own head and help someone else.

And that when I have had enough, my boss will call and ask me to come in and cover for a bit, enabling me to walk away for awhile and return to my family sane.

Love, cheri
