Well, well, well.... In CNN's health section is a article that says those who recieve and send text messages regularly during drinking sprees, are inclined to drink less.  I remember a time when if I had read this article, instead of stop drinking i would have asked everyone on facebook, and every other medium to send me a message for the purpose of a health related cause.

Problem is... after they interferred with my drinking for the first hour or so, I would have turned my phone off.

LMAO

you ever seen a drunk with a breathalyzer?

not pretty, we drunks can turn anything into a drinking game, I know, I watch my young friends "drunk update" and "drunk upload photos" now...Holy mother of God, can you imagine the trouble we would have got into if we had that capability when we were drinking????

I had heard before that people wearing handcuffs reduced their alcohol consumption.

It takes me ten minutes to write a one line text sober. If I tried it drunk the phone would have ended up in pieces on the floor. Actually it did a couple of times.

I hate texting. Does that mean I am an alcoholic?

I went to a meeting once, a long time ago. It made me want to drink WAY more when I left. Not the reaction I was supposed to get, but as such I am wary about trying another meeting. Staying occupied and being accountable here seems to be working so far. Anyway... Dean, you think texting is one of the main causes of Seasonal Affective Disorder? (SAD)- or does the SAD you have in acronyms stand for something else?

Lex, I had the accronymn wrong, it appears. I thought it was social anxiety disorder. I deffinately suffered from the seasonal thing. I worked outside for 14 years and every fall I would get depressed. Winter is a lonely time for single people and especially alcoholics as everyone tends to hiberate socially. At 3.5 years clean and sober, I moved to FL and have never been depressed since.
The sun shines 360 days a year in St. Petersburg. I actually welcome some cloudy days lol.
