Been in woods hunting ,morning and night consistently since bow season in october 15, until this last saturday .Not going for late Bow season this year. This will be my last season of deer hunting after approx 35 years started at a young 30 years old.I took no shots this year ,had limited opportunites but am at peace with it. I did manage to get some very good meditation and reflection time in with the God of my understanding and enjoy the true wonders of God's nature in its waking and going to sleep mode. Some animals would rise in the dawn(squirrels, fox, turkeys, hawks, chipmunks) and others would come out at night,(owls, deer, coons, coyotes etc)a blessing to be part of all of it. The simple things in life have been afforded me by God's grace and my willingness to continue working and applying spiritual principles, taught thru our process and applied in all aereas of our lives..When we are in Florida I will seek new endeavors to keep me in touch with the beauty of nature and the evidence of "that Power' far greater than I...Welcome newcomers and those been around for few cups of coffee.I have totally allowed (to the best of my ability)our third step to permeate my spirit and let all the results be guided by my Higher Power ,who I choose to call God.Keep coming back,I am not a part of our process because I need to loose weight or have nothing to do at nights and weekends, it is because I need help and "we' work this together..Blessings on your journey, a day at a time seeking that fit spiritual conditon and being of maximum service to God and others....

I enjoyed your post. Watching animals in their natural surroundings has always awed me, what a wonderful place to do some serious mediation/reflection and what a wonderful way to go "hunting"
Hey Mikef, walking in the woods at dawn/dusk is my favorite thing to do. It's amazing in the morning how busy the animals get all at once, and how many different ones interact.
I think there's an invisible principle of living...if we believe we're guided through every step of our lives, we are. Its a lovely sight, watching it work.
I loved your post. Nature is a great way for me to keep in touch with my spiritual side. There's so much more to this universe than us humans. Nature in all it's beauty brings it home for me.
