Hi all!
My name is Lou and I'm an alcoholic. I recently celebrated my 4th year and I have to say...IT'S A MIRACLE.
It's been quite a journey so far and would just like to say to anybody new in recovery, don't quit before the miracle happens. It will happen, we need to WORK for it, and sometimes it's hard going but every effort has been more than worth it.
I don't wanna really share about my drinking, and as for the last for years, I'll put it quite simply..SPONSOR, STEPS,SERVICE.
When I was in my early days I was told to stick with the guys/girls who looked like they were enjoying their sobriety! (a novel idea) but I did. There was something about those people I wanted so they showed me how they did it!
It was SPONSOR, STEPS, SERVICE.
Don't really wanna relay a whole 4 years on here, but I will say they have been the best, busiest years of my life. I've done more in 4 than the 15 previous.
Glad to be here. Long may it last.
God bless.

I think there's an invisible principle of living...if we believe we're guided through every step of our lives, we are. Its a lovely sight, watching it work.
