Through God's grace and mercy, celebration of life!

It was a cold December 2nd morning in 1984 when I "came to" for the last time in my life. I was 6 months into my 3rd marriage and the insanity of not only making the same mistakes and expecting different results ,but knowing what the results would be,based on the evidence, I lifted my head and begged for mercy. The God of my understanding was allowing me to what I look at as a final chance on choosing life or death.I was able to choose the former. After 25 years of devastation,j ails ,institutions ,deriliction and only through that grace ,I wasn't taken like so many others around me.The early years were difficult but with guidance of my Higher Power ,whom I call God,and the application of the spiritual principles of our program guided by a sponsor, apllication in my life, being willing ,openminded and as honest as I could be  today, I celebrate "LIFE" 27 YEARS FREE FROM THE HORRORS OF ACTIVE ADDICTION. I continue to show up,work daily and seek   that fit spiritual condition and give back to the best of my ability. One of the aspects of our spiritual awakening is a "new" understanding of our Higher Power that we develop as we share in anothers recovery. We do become visions of hope,we become examples that the program works and our joy in living free from active addiction is truly an attraction to the still sick and suffering. Please join me in prayer and gratitude for another day of life working to ensure I never have to "come to" again..If God is for us,who can stand against us!!!  Welcome to all newcomers, those just coming around and those who have shared many cups of coffee  together. Our message is hope and the promise of freedom from active addiction.I will celebrate at my home group "NEW DAZE" Monday night with friends and family from in and out of the rooms..Truly blessed and so grateful. Thanks for all the support and help I get from you all whenever I show up here,I try and remain teachable and honest ,openminded and willing...Have a blessed and productive day..smilesmile
