Just a quick post to let all my MIP friends know what is happening to me.
I went to my urologist yesterday for a followup on tests that were done to determine the cause of kidney pain I have been experiencing . I received some very unexpected results. My left kidney has a stone, is atrophied and is not functioning.
I have been scheduled for major surgery to entirely remove my left kidney on 10/3/2011. I sure did not expect that result when I went to the doctor's office yesterday! I have a great trust and confidence that WHATEVER God's will is for me, that it will be in my best interest.
By the way I have been dieting and I have lost 107 pounds since the 6th of January this year. Does anyone know how much a kidney weighs? Is it considered cheating to lose weight via surgical organ removal? ROFL
This will be my second major surgery this year. I had open heart cardiac bypass surgery this April. My wife is superstitious and says bad things always happen in groups of three? I sure hope that she is wrong.

I pray that God will heal you quickly, Larry. For most illnesses of the body, I have experienced, I found that God either heals me completely or gives me grace to overcome the pain. I know that He will do the same for you because He loves you.
