Hi all, grateful to be sober but feel like I'm getting my fair share lately. On friday night my better half's blood sugar went so low it was dangerous. It was just due to the dogs that I woke up and managed to bring him round. I am ringing the diabetic clinic today to get more equipped to deal with this. On sunday I found a lovely puppy and his owner came and got him last night. He also took my heart so himself just rang and said he will call to him on the way home and see will he sell Errol. I'm attaching a photo. I found him wandering around the main road, unwashed, as he had escaped while his owners were on holidays and a lady was minding him in a shed or something. (I know), (horrifying) If its to be its to be so here's hoping. I'm getting plenty of meetings and had a bit of a set too with a member yesterday morning by phone. She has been lying to me about getting to meetings and generally acting out. I had put boundaries in place, they were being disrespected again but I need to take care of me and I needed to shut the door on this one as any conversations were all about her work issues etc and it never involved sobriety or AA stuff at all. I am working on honesty, openness and willingness but feel that doing service and making small gestures is far better for me than telling someone I don't trust anything at all.  I'm back to doing service again which I love as I get to give out the medallions and it keeps me focussed. All the builders have come and gone in relation to the tender but no jobs started yet so I will need to hand this over also. I hope you are all doing well.

Hi Maire,

Thanks for the update. I hope your better half is doing fine. He'll be in our prayers, that's for sure.

Nice puppy...The owner must have been grateful for your accommodating spirit. That's a quality that only certain people have. So, be grateful for that. The puppy is home safe and sound and you helped provide him that. Job well done...

Thanks...for doing service as well. Something, we all can do more of. I hope you enjoy the ride, despite the occasional rude awakening. These people need our help and you manage the job well -thanks be to God. Just remember, we needed help too. So, giving back is our penance and I hope you continue to give back for many glorious yet sober years to come.

~God bless~
