As our country celebrates its own Independence Day,' WE' in our daily journey of freedom from active alcohol addiction also quietly celebrate our freedom from the devastion of our previous lives.This day for our family is low keyed,savoring in the joy of each others company(Yes even WICKED UNCLE ERNIE!!! :)something that may have once been foreign to us..can you imagine,"they' even want us around!!!truly a blessing of God..If you are new here ,just coming around to the rooms, give yourself a break,put up the white flag of surrender,declare your independence from the devastion of using and learn ,with us ,daily ,a new way to live.Your Fireworks can be you mind exploding in the joy of FREEDOM' and knowing that your Higher Power's plan for you is to be all that this Higher Power intended you to be, the details will be left up to you .Won't you join us ,we have a "solutuon" in our steps and fellowship, one helping another, in a loving and caring manner. Raise the flag of victory and march forward, in God's grace and mercy,reacing out to help others as that helps you on your Independence Day! Yes the struggles will contine ,that is for sure, but we learn a better way to "work" through them, together, guided by the Power " that doesn't need a sponsor!!!Have a blessed and safe 4th of July,, I know we can identify on being oh so grateful,keeping it on me,,no doubt in my military mind!!! peace
