I picked up my 30 day chip at my home group this week. Wow...I didn't expect to be filled with so much emotion and even shed a tear or three. When I was asked how I did it two things immediately came to mind. One was the grace of God. I have prayed more these last weeks than I have in the last ten years and I know I am not in this alone. The second reason I am now a happy owner of a pretty red chip is because of the meetings. I could have never expected the warmth, support, enthusiasm, and honesty that I find in the rooms and sharing my 30 day mark with those very people I meet with each day just felt all kinds of right.
I am not resting on any laurels though. I have a sponser now and am ready to slowly but surely take all twelve steps as I continue to learn and grow through this adventure in sober living. My Higher Power is doing Her job and I will do mine. I am pretty excited about it too! :)

One Day at a Time..... This is what happens when we don't take that first drink, those days just sort of add up! Keep Coming Back and so glad to hear about your chip!
Thank you so much everyone! Between meetings and having this forum I am feeling doubly blessed. I look forward to sharing more here and take so much from what others write here as well. :)
