i'm going to Calgary this weekend!!!!!!! to see my mom and my sister!!!
i very rarely get a whole weekend off, and it so happens that this weekend is thanksgiving for us here in canada
i'm so excited!!! my mom says she is too.
i haven't seen them now for a couple of years
my sister asked if i could take the bus and come by myself but its a 12 hour bus ride, by the time i get there i'd have to come back....my sister is a single parent with 3 girls and i hear her fridge is empty....i just told my mom to tell her not to worry about food, that i just want to see them!!!! We'll figure it out
i don't know if i can afford this or not either but i'll eat soup and pasta for the next week if i have to
i've been missing my family sooo much!!!!
i actually have butterflies in my tummy!!!
so my oldest daughter and her friend and myself will leave friday night after i'm done work, it's a 7-8 hour drive
my mom will be having surgery soon and i';m so happy i get to see her before that
I love thanksgiving! I'm going to my girlfriends parents place in Kamloops and her mom is an awesome cook! Since I'm not going to drink I'm going to reward myself by eating myself into a coma!
mmmmmmmmm! Turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie! I'm gonna be one fat bastard after this weekend :)
Hey Wendy, good for you. I'm excited for you, I know you have been concerned about your Mom for awhile now. You guys have a great visit.
Yes, Thanksgiving is about food, but I think it's really about family and loved ones, even in the dysfuntional families. It gives me time to reflect on the fact I still have a few family members who still speak to me and who care.
Hi All. Fantastic Wendy, Sounds like you'll have a great time. Hope you have a great trip and all works out well.
Love you all.
Chris.
