I couldn't have predicted the wild emotional roller coaster that has been my life these past weeks and wouldn't change it for the world. I am feeling more like myself than I have in dozens of years and have found a loving fellowship in AA that sustains and supports my journey. To be honest, most days have been really good. I cling to my higher power like a child does her special blanket and try to remember God's will for my life is more powerful and precious than anything my will could dream of. The bad days have taught me to hussle my butt to a meeting when things start to feel overwhelming and there hasn't been a time I went that I didn't get what I need.
I find that my heart can hold an absurdly grand amount of gratitude and my most often uttered prayer is one of thanks. Thanks to all those who share here as well. The stories, kind words, and advice found in this forum are blessings to us all.

Nice to hear Vixen! Thank you for the reminder that this program works, if we work it. I like the part about trusting you HP. Much of the Program comes down to just that- Trust God.
Well said! My sponsor tells me daily that the best is yet to come, and he hasn't been wrong yet (in over 2 years). Keep trudging the happy road and you'll be amazed how much better things do get!

Thank you for sharing! So nice to hear someone express what I felt in the beginning. They told me it just keeps getting better and they are right. The rewards of sobriety overwhelm me at times. I have to believe I deserve such a life. Keep going so you can be amazed at how wonderful life can be for you too!!!
Thank you all for the kind words. I am quickly discovering that alcoholics supporting other alcoholics is a powerful and beautiful thing. Color me a grateful girl as I soak up the congrats and share them with the One who is lighting the way. :)

Being loved, understood and supported is nearly as good as loving, understanding and supporting. And we get both sides of the coin. We're pretty lucky people really.
