Have you ever been caught up in a heated verbal argument with a loved one or even another person and had someone interrupt the situation(say a phone call or something) and you respond like"Oh HI, HOW ARE YOU,YES YOU HAVE A GOOD DAY ALSO in an undramatic controlled manner and then when that interaction was over you looked back to the person you were arguing with knowing you were busted!!You see we can chose to keep our emotions under control and we also choose to speak unkindly to that other person.. Spiritual principles will help us to remember in times of stress and fatigue that kindness is not an emotion ,it is a conscious decision..When I remain in the solution, guided by God that kindness is actually a command one so much better for the spirit!! Stick it in your head Mike, don't say it ,apply it......

Selfishness-self-centeredness! That, we think, is the root of our troubles.
When I was drinking I couldnt shut my emotions off and on like that. Now after working the program and listening to other Alcholics, I rarely get that mad and when I do it doesnt last long. Most things arent worth getting mad about anyway.

Amen...Mike. There is a spiritual antidote for everything and immersing yourself in the solution and not treading on the past is evidence of that. There is a powerful spiritual transformation that takes place when we place principles before our personalities. Thanks...for reminding me of that.
