Just got an e mail from Fleet Management, telling me that because I have done 57 miles less than the annual requirement for provision of a business needs car and have used it for 13 days less than the requirement, then either I hand the car back by 11th June or submit a new business case.

So the business case has gone in and needs to be approved by 22/04/11. Of course my head is saying that my big, shiny, black car will be going back on the 11th June and I'll have to go and buy my own car and then rely on hire cars for work. (estimated at £5k a year, reimbursable) or use my car / bike for work (estimated at £5k a year in mileage payments)

now the benefits are that i get to choose the car I want (if I can afford it), the drawbacks are I have to be responsible for all maintenance, servicing, insurance, tyres, tax etc.etc.etc. and realistically, I can't afford a 2 year old big black car.

But remember, it's not happening today, so it don't count.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. ~ Jesus

Sorry, didn't mean to go preachy on you... this is just one of my favorite quotes.  smile

Bill, I like how you continue to use the tools and wisdom of recovery to lessen problems in your life.  I've been using your line lately(read it in the past):  If it hasn't happened, it don't exist.  Helps me when I get into the projecting mood.

Same meaning as your subject today, just different words.  Thank you for the reminder.

5K pounds for ridinq your bike doesn't sound too bad. I used to qet paid for ridinq my bike as a motorcycle courier in Washinqton DC (early '80's). It paid me nearly $1k a week and I was meetinq an averaqe of a dozen capital hill secretaries a day, as a 21 year old. smile.gif

5k pounds won't cover the fuel and tyre and wear and tear. Nope if the company want me to travel my policy is they provide the means for me to travel. I'll only use my means as my choice. Sunny days overnight routes and long haul.
