It dawned on me this evening at my HG meeting (sponsor pointed it out) that today, April 4, 2009 makes it 2 years of soberiety. I'm grateful to the fellowship and all the support I've recieved from friends (including you all here) to help me achieve it. Here's a bit of irony for you...
I'm sitting here at the same treatment facility typing this that I checked myself into 2 years ago today, only this time I'm an employee instead of a client. God truly does work in mysterious ways!

Congradulations Klaatu and keep it going. God does surely work in mysterious ways and always knows what God is doing and why. You are where God wants you to be so might as well do the best you can with it as they keep coming in the door to meet you. I feel hopeful for them and I smile because several of the local membership were talking about this very thing the other day and who best for God to use to reach those who have not yet found out what the problem is. I hope you share your celebration with them.
Congrats...klaatu, on your accomplishment. You're right...God does work in mysterious ways -just look at us. Giving back a part of what we received is crucial, and you have -thank God. You've become another miracle...so, thank your higher power and the many voices of AA for helping you achieve the miraculous -one day at a time. Your 2 year milestone is proof of that, so be proud of your achievement. Way to go...

Happy Birthday....That surprised me to...........from all you write I was guessing you to be an oldtimer, must be that great quality of sobriety, all we ever get is just one day at a time, so who's counting?
2 years is a major accomplishment ,was for me anyway because i had made a year a couple times only to start up again
i was so happy when i hit 2 years that i dang near went out and celebrated ,but instead my sponsor and i did 21 meetings a week until i got over me glee..lol
