i think that if we were to talk about our higher power we should keep it as personalized as we can.
and express that this has helped us not that this must be the end all be all to be sober.....somewhere in some part of the conversation.
for me when i first came around i was angry at god for my life and i didn't want to hear anything about it. the reasons that i changed from my attitude from god was by working the program and seeing my part in situations.....but this took time and it took me a few 24hrs to get it. before i could i needed to be clean and sober a while and let the dust settle and then i was able to hear step 2. and understand step 3.
just think that time is importiant and that to remember when we first came around the rooms where our heads were at and remember this when posting.
I agree, I attend a rather large meeting on Friday nights where you have to go to the podium at the head of the table to share. Some people believe that it's a pulpit and start preaching, as an Alcoholic when someone tells me what to do instead of sharing their experience strenght and hope my eyes glaze over and I tune them out.
