As my ex wife goes to alanon that's co located with one of my regular AA meetings and I'm not yet ready to see her across the car park, I'm staying away from that particular meeting and going to another. however, due to getting tied up in work I ended up setting off way too late to get to the meeting of choice.

Now normally I don't mind getting in for the second half at a meeting that I know, but i don't like turning up at a new meeting late. So what to do.

I got amends to make to a couple of restauranteurs - the first one shut down in June last year and I was relying on him to tell me where the other one could be found. Bother. So on my way home I had a sudden thought - call in on Vic and Babs. I lived 2 doors down from them 20 years ago and for sure I had amends to make. thankfully they still lived in the same house and were only too happy to see me. Short memories as they couldn't remember any of the incidents of bad bejhaviour I talked about - but they were kind enough to offer me a cup of tea, invite me in their house, but bless them, after they asked me why I was making such a fuss over something that they can't remember and I'd mentioned that I just don't drink no more - they still flat refused to believe that i used to drink too much. It don't matter, it's water under the bridge was all they could say.

But I'm glad I went. I feel better for it. and as for Roberto and Walter, the two restauranteurs, when the time is right I'll find them or they'll find me. apparantly Roberto has gone back to Barnsley, so i should find him and Walter might be back in Italy for a while, but he'll be back.

Anyway, spent an extra hour or three at work late tonight, so I can get some time off Friday afternoon. It's getting on for midnight and time I went to bed. thanks for being there for me.
