Going to the city, and when I am there I will be celebrating 28 years! Hot damn! Anybody know a small-ish, step or study meeting in Manhattan they can particularly recommend?
God bless Lee ,totally awesome and a gift from God.I'll check with folks at Tuesday night group I have been showing up at.... and see which ones they go to in manhattan...Is that your crib behind you in the avatar???looks country and cool and isolated, right up my alley......

I live in upstate NY, so I can't help you there. My friend who comes up from the city, from time to time, gave me some encouraging info about meetings he attended while in the city, and how they benefited him, so keep your NY AA list handy and enjoy the company. Good Luck and have a sober journey. God bless...as always.

well, Mike, looks are deceiving--it's right off a busy main road, in a little trailer park-the barn is in the landlord's back yard-his family owns half a mountain so it is at least a little "country" amid denser areas. Actually I love it because even tho it is a bit of an illusion, it's "close enuf". My trailor is 70x14, and only rented, but it's private and quiet and has a lot of yard on both sides. I've lived in NYC-lower east side, upper west side & Gramercy Park, Gravesend, Bklyn (out near Coney Is.), E. Flatbush, and--ugh--the Bronx. Then Roanoke & Richmond VA-in all kinds of apartments-from a rat hole over a social club to a Victorian prior hotel to a bedroom in a basement. I have to say, even tho my fiance moved out and left me here-after dragging me up to NH in the 1st place, I love coming home to my little chunk of serenity.
My sister (30+ years!!!) is taking me to some of her old NY meetings (she's in VA now) and we're going up to the GSO for "the tour" and a meeting there.
Last time I was in NY there were still massage parlors in Times Sq. and I was a drugged-up drunk workin' in one (LMAO--today--talk about doin' a 180!)
