9 months since my last relapse. Longest stretch since I was 14. That's 31 years ago. Holy shiggitz.

Thanks, ya'll.
WE did it. Pat each other on the back.
(except you...yeah you...the hot one. You need a hug biggrin )

Peace,
Rob

9 months is the bomb diggity. Only medallions from here on out (not that we are looking past today)!

P.S. Rob...make sure you get multiple chips at different meetings so you can pass them on to sponsees later. It's not tooting your own horn to get the 9 month chip at all meetings you go to.

Great work Rob, God has plans for you if you stay on the path. I don't think it's a "stretch"of sobriety.

We enter into the realm of the spirit, and we begin to get further away from the last drink,  not closer to the next drink.

Keep the faith.

Rob

Grats dood, how was this last few weeks for you? I remember climbing the walls at 9 months was interesting for a minute, then the year it got weird again but it stabilizes quite a bit after that, but i remember 9 months being a HUGE landmark for me, so congratulations

well done my brother. 9 months is what it takes for a baby to grow from conception to birth. Maybe you have given birth to the baby of your life long sobriety?

How wonderful! Nine months is often a very shaky time--stay vigilant! Congratulations.

Thanks, ya'll!
Roller-coaster. Some days I want to pull a Willie Loman and other days I want a 30 hour day so I can enjoy more of it.
Didn't get that peer-support job and when I asked my current employer if I could take vacation to attend the training to prep for volunteer work they said "Sure...if you wanna get fired. You already have a job you're underperforming at. Why not?"

Being a whole new person is hard. I worry that I will wear-out my "support system". My home-group is getting old. My sponsor has an uncanny grasp on the obvious; I swing from "Poor Me" to "Hurray Me!" three times a day.

I see it right there..."I", "I", "My", "My", "I", "Me" & "Me".

Service work blew up in my face. The sponsee is up on felony charges and faked a suicide, thereby involving five counties of law enforcement and resulting in the sponsee firing me with a "F*&K YOU!" and threat of a restraining order.

PeeeeFreakinCheeee. For another 24 hours.

Peace,
Rob
