It is God's intention to create a universe that is whole, pure and balanced. So, too, my physical health is an expression of what God intends. The truth is that I am meant to be well and whole.
As a child of an alcoholic, I sometimes tend to ignore my physical needs. Far too often, I pay too little attention to health. Today, however, I will examine my habits of living. Whether I am in need of exercise, good nutrition, or medical care, I hereby resolve to take care of my body.
Today I will take a good look at my life and make sure I am not indulging in activities that are not good for me. I want good health, and will be open to change, not defensive about my self-defeating habits. I will work toward my good health, I will make the effort it takes to change, for I expect to be healthy."
