I once heard someone in AA say, God cannot make your life any worse than it already is. It made it easier for me take the 3rd step. I realised that the package I was offering God did not have any assets in it. In my 4th step inventory, I had a list of resentments and hurts that had weighed me down for so many years. It had made me weary and heavy laden. I desperately needed rest and a loving God which I had found in AA, took this load from me through steps 6&7.

Morning Gonee!  Yes I realized also that until I turned "all my lives"(3rd)to the 'care' of as our literature tells us, that as an alcoholic(recovered/recovering)a father,a son ,a husband, a friend,a boss etc. that there was still so much of my will taking over and after being"entirely" ready(6th) and humbly asking God(7th) to remove(as it is God who knows what needs to go and what doesn't)that I didn't find the"peace that surpasses all understanding'!With God ,as I understand Him, guiding all things and by working in the  solution through our steps/traditions/ I do find that "peace"!Have a blessed and productive day.............smile
