December 2nd, Thursday night,my anniversary actually,I started feeling funky at a meeting but figured just tired out.Next night Friday im running 103..temp and chills like I never had.By Sunday night ,We decided emergency room,which I never do doctors,let alone emergency rooms,but the consistent high temps,chills and a now persistent shooting pain in my temple area at almost 63 should probably check out,plus it hurts..Anyway say I got sinusitis and give me z pak and nasonex.2 days and temps are rising(104.6) by time i go to doctors office,takes blood checking for temporal lobe swelling.ehrlichiosis.lyme(tick borne diseases,doc calls back says no sinus infection she is going to treat fro tick borne,so now a day into that therapy!Anyway I know we are human and illnesses happen,but I always try and relect in what part of life I played in all situations and any lessons to learn.Sometimes I loose focus ,get caught up in that "all me" syndrome and forget about recovery at home etc.I have been hunting morning and night for almost 2 months,make home group meeting every week,celebrations,GSR for my home group,H&I(hospital and institution work)area meetings,running 15-20 miles per week at the gym ,on a weight management system (weight watchers )down 38 pounds since 7/21/2010 and coming up to 63 years of life.(by God's grace)I can only take into consideration God may be saying Mike,'you outta balance man" I got to slow you down!!!pure conjecture but I will change up get back to smelling the roses and not cruising past them.Just wanted to touch base with all ,I m getting stronger ,I can feel it and I am praying all are working their process to the best of their ability.My wife,my angel certainly deserves much more attention then where I been at. HMMMM 'WE BELIEVE THE CORE OF OUR DISEASE IS SELF CENTEREDNESS! DO YA THINK!!!Anyway thanks for listening ,with you in spirit,Just For Today my thoughts are on my new associations,people who are not using and have found a new way to live,as long as I follow that way I have nothing to fear.I will become even stronger after yet another of lifes battles because I know I am in the hands of a POWER OH SO MUCH GREATER THAN I..For that I am truly greatful.Could be rambling now so im off.peace have a blessed and productive day.Welcome to all newcomers,stick around we need you!!.....

Hi my name is bill I'm a recovered alcoholic, one day before my 19th anneversary.I found out that I have clogged arteries .bottom line I have been out of work since.I was crushed because my job was a lot of my indentety.along with threating my pocket book.security.ambitions.relationships.!and I was sore .I talked and talked to everyone .about my job situation.the result was nill. After about two days I was told to get pen and paper ! Now I got some time practicing these princibles.but I was still sore . So I wrote out all that on paper.a mini forth if you will.and an amazing thing happened.I felt closer to God I never thought about drinking,I was no longer afraid of how I was gonna make ends meet.for the first time sinse I was a teenager I had a chance to go to the beach every day with my kids . they spent the entire summer with me! And because I was trusting God and not me.we had a great time .I have had an opportunety to sponsor even more guys. Fifth steps done at the park with my kids running around playing.clueless they just new I was agood dad .thank God for a 12 step program!
