I tried praying for a person and still feel the same. I've tried to help and give, with no results. I HOLD NO HATE OR RESENTMENT. I guess i just detached. I have no use for this person and don't care to see or have anything to do with him.

Hatred is never anything but fear - if you feared no one, you would hate no one.
--Hugh Downs

On those occasions when we find the bigger person within, we are more generous in spirit toward others. But sometimes we think too much about what is wrong with others and how they ought to change. That is a form of hate. If we are searching for what we have power to change in our families, in our friendships, in the world, we can learn to be big enough to set aside our fears.

Do we bear ill will toward someone today? When we are honest with ourselves, do we feel a sense of fear in relation to this person? What are we really afraid of? Perhaps the same person fears us. When we can do something about our fear, the hatred melts with no further effort. Then we are in touch with the bigger person within.

I have the inner, strength to face my fears today. I will not send them outward as hatred.

Just a reply to you from below Rick. And I dont have all the answers. Just stuff Ive learned.

We cannot do it for someone else. They hafta travel their own journey. We can be there for them. We can stand beside them. But, we cannot do it for them.

Others dont make our Happiness. They contribute to that happiness, but they cannot make it.

Its up to us, how we feel. We hafta feel secure within our own skin. We hafta be loving and forgiving to ourselves, and be good to ourselves first.

When we can do that, we can give love to others, and accept it freely.

If we are STUCK in a rut, we have a choice, of staying in that rut, or getting out of that rut.

In relationships--if its not giving and receiving 100 percent on both sides--how can it work? One, cannot do it.

They can stay stuck, and hope that others will change--while they carry on positively changing themselves. If others dont change, in a positive manner, towards the relationship--there is no hope, and the relationship will come to an end.

Sometimes we stay stuck--with hope for tomorrows. Ive done it. Its called whats real, and denial.

Doormats-we dont hafta be used as doormats for anyone. Ive been there too. If the relationship is 90 percent good, and 10 percent bad--that 10 percent stuff piles up, and erodes the other 90 percent.

We accept others in our lives as they are--with love---or we dont. There are choices. We are free to make those choices.

I cant change other people. I can change my thoughts towards others, with love and compassion--but I cant change em.

Changes? Always a bit of fear and anxiety involved.

But if we make those changes, and feel right, and good inside, about them--we truly know, that God is at work in our lives.

There are things going on in my life today. Theres a bit of fear and anxiety. Its normal. But yu know? There are no reservations about it. No questions to be answered. I just know, its right. Good feelings within.

I have 3 kids. I watch what they do. Im there for them. But I cannot do it for them. If there are concerns, we talk about them--but the final decisions are theres. Its their life. They hafta be allowed to make their mistakes. They hafta be allowed to form their own identities, and relationships with others, and the world around them. Its a Let Go and Let God, with love.

There are other people in my life today, that I know are going through stuff.

All I can do is just be there. I cannot jump in and fix things for them. I cannot control.

I can give of myself with love. Its all that simple.

Be good to you-give of yourself to others-We get it all back.

The rest of it? Let God handle it.:) and just do your best today. Sober.

FEAR FOR!       I sometimes think there is fear "FOR" instead of fear of something or someone.

In AA I go along with Kill, rob, steal , go to jail. Just don't drink!!!! And don't kill yourself!! ( Mainly Just Kidding!) When there is someone I just can't pray for, I go to plan B. I have to realize they may be sick. Remember some people are sicker than we were when we drank. These people don't have the benefit of AA so they are to sick to know they are sick. I pretend this person is as delirious as a person in the hospital with a high fever. They don't know they are out of their head! LOL You have to put them on ignore. I would advise sending a get well card. That sure would baffle them.

Sending a get well card to an mortal enemy of mine would bring such satisfaction. She would probally have a nervous breakdown I know she despises me that much.

With the help of this program I will not do it.

I will not do it!

I will not do it!

Nancy Jo     Do it! I dare you! It's an old war tactic confuse the enemy. He/She doesn't know they are ill. At least they didn't think they were ill? But maybe?
