Hi my name is Bill I am a recovered alcoholic. How many times I say that in a day.I never wonder what people think when I say that . I also never care what they think when I sit down open my book and start studying.Or if I have some thing heavy and I had to write on it forth step style.the people who have shown me practical application.will say on the paper work do you want me to red line that for you ? The people who are just at a meeting to take will probably stay away .you know fellowship. I am not here for that we are people who would normally would not mix. My sponsor and I have nothing else in common. He is not my friend any more than my heart doctor ! I don't think I would go hang out with him talking baseball right be for he tries to save my life.just my experience.I continue to follow a man who has not lied to me. About applying these princibles. He knows absolutely every thing about me and so do a whole lot of other men in my support group.the main reason to show me what my dishonest mind won't let me see.and the other is freedom and if I can talk about me openingly its give some one else the courage to dump there's . We are not a glum lot! I never have to worry about anyone coming into a meeting talking about me and what I might have done or said and just like my forth I do not have to worry about my sponsor leaking cause he showed me that I am gonna tell it .it always helps some one.facts about me .freedom

Bill,

Thanks for sharing, it's good to hear some good old fashioned Cleveland AA speak.

Speaking from the heart about the current things that are going on, true sponsorship, tough love and gratitude.

Thanks for sharing. It is good to hear real AA, sponsorship, book study and personal inventory.
Pragmatic and straightforward.
