Welcome to another day of life!

As I start today, sober and free from active addiction by the grace and mercy of the God of my understanding,(I also do the work)I can reflect on the idea that there is some task God has for me  to do today and it will remain undone until by faith and obedience I step into God's will..I will also remember that I must accept finite disappoinments(life showing up)but never lose infinite hope!!Today I will continue to strive to  remain teachable and practice spiritual principles in all my affairs.Have a blessed and productive day!!smile

The longer I live the more I am convinced that I exist, only by the grace of God and His mercy.
He has been so good to me- a man who did not know God and acted as if he was God, and someone who had such a vile mouth and temper. Just one desperate cry to Him, whom I had forsaken through my drinking, saw Him lift His hand to pick me up and give me a life which surpasses human understanding. This is the God I choose to serve today whom I fondly call my Father.
Thanks for reminding me Mike and posting such a wonderful personal experience. You are truly one of the spiritual brothers on this forum.
God bless you.

lol, well said. For me, you could add "Mow the lawn", "trim the hedge" and right now "shovel snow". And as my sponsor reminds me "Pray, but God is not going to make your bed for you." ;)
