Visit to my old AA group.

I went to one of my sponsor's 23 year thanksgiving at my old AA group. It brought back so many memories of my early recovery and the struggles I experienced. We spoke about our meeting after the meeting which sometimes went on for hours. I needed this extended time with someone who understood my alcoholism. I doubt very much if long term recovery would have been possible for me without this sponsorship intervention and their unconditional time invested in me by these wonderful men of AA. They wanted nothing from me except that I get well.
Quality time spent with a good sponsor who will make me do the 12 steps of recovery will definitely get me well. If I follow the path with diligence and earnestness, I cannot fail. I have found this to be true in my life and those whom I sponsor.

AA is awesome because the people that believe and work it know exactly what it takes and are willing to help the newcomers who desire to stop drinking.  desire something with your whole being and God will put someone there to help.  it is a miracle that we see and live.
thank you Gonee for your share.
